NC film industry update expected Thursday


WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) –

An announcement regarding the film industry is expected during a news conference at Screen Gems Studios Thursday.

Wilmington Mayor Bill Saffo will be joined by New Hanover County Commission Vice Chairman Beth Dawson and officials from EUE/Screen Gems Studios, The Wilmington Regional Film Commission, and The Wilmington Chamber of Commerce.

There’s no word on the specifics of the announcement. That news conference is set for 10:30 a.m.
