Letters: Much-needed for Louisiana still going to film industry

Louisiana can’t seem to balance the budget, but we’re still giving away millions in tax dollars to Hollywood.

According to a news report, one company is claiming to be spending $9 million in expenses, and $5 million of that is in payroll for 300 in-state production jobs. Considering they’re only filming until August, that means they’ll average over $160,000 per job.

I guess $15 an hour to flip burgers isn’t really too bad.
