Seminar on local film industry jobs is March 24

Atlanta City Councilmember Cleta Winslow is hosting a seminar called “So You Want a Job in the Film Industry” on Tuesday, March 24, from 4 to 6 p.m. The seminar will be held at the West End branch of the Atlanta-Fulton County Public Library, 525 Peeples Street.

A panel of film professionals will discuss necessary skill sets, where to get trained, the movie environment, the role of unions, jobs available, and the benefits of working in the motion picture industry.

“This free information session is open to all who are interested in a job in the film industry,” said Winslow. “It’s a great opportunity to learn how to get started.”

The seminar is sponsored by Councilmember Winslow, the Atlanta-Fulton County Public Library, and Clark Atlanta University Television. For more information, please contact Councilwoman Winslow’s office at (404) 330-604 or cwinslow@atlantaga.gov.
