Lecture: African video film production

April 8 @ 2:30 pm – 4:30 pm

Alessandro Jedlowski, a visitor from Naples, Italy, will discuss his work on African cinema in a talk entitled, “Between Glamor and Politics: A Comparative Approach to the Study of African Video Film Production.” The public is invited to attend. Jedlowski is currently a post-doctoral fellow at the University of Leije in Belgium. He has published widely in both Italian and English on African film. His new book on the Nigerian film industry will be published later this year. Last year, Jedlowski collaborated with Wagner College when Steven Thomas and Stephen Greenwald went to Ethiopia to study that country’s film industry.
