Some of the key players from the Brazilian film and TV production sector and industry representatives will hits the Luxe Rodeo Drive Hotel in Beverly Hills July 23 to talk about co-production partnerships, incentives and filming in Brazil.
The sessions will focus on the film and TV production industry in Brazil and touch on incentives, co-productions and filming in the country. Attendees are set to include Manoel Rangel, president of Brazil’s Cinema Agency (Ancine); Ricardo Castanheira, general manager of MPA Latin America; Alfredo Manevy, president of Sao Paulo city film financing company SPCine; Steve Solot, president of the Rio Film Commission, which hosted “Fast Five,” above; and entertainment attorneys Fabio Cesnik, Rodrigo Salinas and Michael Vogler. Deborah Calla and Shanti Correa will present successful co-production and partnership cases.
Ellen Barros and Rodrigo Gurgel, of the local Brazilian Consulate, will explain the steps required for securing a visa for filming in Brazil.
Brazil has a generous film incentive system, which is being increasingly extended to series and other TV productions.
