Advanced paint techniques for the film industry


Learn painting processes used in the film industry—ageing techniques, wood grains, marble and stone effects– through demonstrations and practice with one of the most knowledgeable scenic artists in the film industry. This two day intensive workshop is perfect for art students, artists, trades painters; those with a desire to expand their skills. This will be a “hands on” painting experience! Students will finish this course with a portfolio of their own samples. All tools and supplies are included in the course fee. Prior painting experience is recommended but not essential.

Joyce Woods (B.Ed, MA) has over twenty years of experience creating trompe l’oeil surfaces for film, television and private clients. She is also a fine artist who has had many exhibitions of her paintings and she has taught university level painting and drawing. She brings a very professional level of craftsmanship to her teaching.

Class space is limited so early registration is recommended.
